This privacy policy details how I (trading under Beth Winwood) use and protect your personal data.

Personal data is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate an individual. I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any personal data you provide will be used in accordance with data protection regulations. Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand how I collect, use and protect your personal data.

 

Beth Winwood is founded by myself, Beth Winwood. I am solely responsible for using and storing your data in accordance with GDPR legislation. 

 

 

COLLECTING DATA

In order to work with you, I need to keep certain information about you. I’ll always make it clear what information I’m collecting and how it will be used.

 

I may collect the following information.

  • Name and job title.

  • Contact information including phone number and email address.

  • Demographic information including home address, preferences and interests.

  • Notes of our work together during sessions.

  • Testimonials and photographs from client work.

  • Other information relevant to client surveys and/or offers.

 

This information may be collected when you fill out a contact form or enter information on my website when making a booking.

 

All personal data collected will be password protected. I will collect your data using a password protected email account and will store your data in a password protected document. This email account and document are only accessible by me. Passwords are used to prevent unauthorised access, use, destruction or disclosure of your personal data. Any physical copies of your personal data are stored in a locked filing box.

HOW YOUR DATA IS USED

The personal data I collect is used to help me better understand your needs and to provide you with a better service. The information may be used in the following ways.

  • For internal record keeping, for administrative purposes only.

  • To contact you regarding any queries and/or to book sessions.

  • To refer to our sessions to track the progress of our work together.

  • To send you marketing materials, only if you have given me your permission to do so. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by unsubscribing.

  • To conduct market research on my services and your interests relating to them. The data collected will be used to improve my services offer and website content.

  • To improve the products and services I offer.

  • Testimonials and photographs may be used on my website and social channels, only if you have given me your permission to do so.

 

 

HOW LONG I KEEP YOUR DATA

Personal data is only kept for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. I regularly reviews client information and when it is no longer needed I will securely delete electronic data, and shred and securely dispose of any physical data.

 

If I works directly with you, a record of this work and your personal data will be kept for 5 years to comply with legal and tax obligations.

 

 

THE LEGAL BIT

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018. Under GDPR, organisations need to ensure activities involving the processing of personal data are undertaken under one of the six legal grounds for processing.

I have two legal grounds for processing your personal data.

  1. Consent. I will always ask for your consent to process your personal information.

  2. Contract. When you book a session or package, your information will need to be processed in order to carry out the services.

 

 

THIRD PARTY DISCLOSURE

I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to outside parties, unless I provide you with advance notice. I may release your information if I believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce my site policies, or protect my or others' rights, property, or safety.

 

My website contains links to other websites which may be of interest to my users. These external sites are not governed by this privacy policy and I therefore have no responsibility or liability for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide whilst visiting them.  I recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you visit and exercise caution.

 

 

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right:

  • to be informed about my collection and use of your personal data

  • to obtain a copy of your personal data

  • to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete

  • to withdraw your consent for me to hold your personal data at any time

  • to have your personal data deleted

 

If you have a concern about the handling of your personal data, you have the right to request the restriction or suppression of your personal data. You may raise any concerns you have with me and any concern will be responded to within 30 days. If then necessary, you have the right to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
